What sort of duties do you have at work at Gardens America?

Sales, customer relations, floral trend follower.

Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

My dad. He was able to talk to anyone, he was a fabulous floral concept designer and just knew how to make people feel warm and important.

What led you to your career at Gardens America?

I am a floral designer, my background is in events and retail and ready for a change and it was a natural transition into importing and sales. I was lucky that when I was looking for a new job, Gardens America was hiring!

Is there anyone in the office who you look up to or who inspires you?

Kristin and Camilo. Kristin is a fierce leader with the patience of a saint. She has persevered through many obstacles in business and still always makes the time to make sure as her employee you feel seen and heard. Also, I look up to Camilo…. The amount of information he has stored in his brain is quite impressive, his extensive knowledge of flowers and the industry is helpful every day!

What is the most exciting part of your job?

Flowers, flowers, flowers

What is your most-used productivity hack?

Music breaks and having fresh flowers in my home.

What do you love most about working at Gardens America?

The team and family environment that is created. So much knowledge and experience. Also being able to speak to people in the industry all over the world, I get to learn something new every day.

What is something you are proud of in your professional career?

I believe I made my dad proud to follow in the same industry he was in his entire life.

What motivates you at work?

Making connections with people in the industry, hearing customers get excited over flowers I had suggested they try, and seeing all of the beautiful designs created with Gardens America products.

Sushi

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

I am obsessed with nail art

A dog named Gyro

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

I was a night owl before I had my daughter, now I am neither 😊

Are you a coffee or tea person?

Coffee! Might as well give me an IV.

What is one thing you are really good at?

Being a mom.

What is your favorite season?

Fall!

What is your idea of a perfect day?

A museum, a nice dinner in NYC or beach all day, and dinner in the mountains in Kalamata, Greece.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know?

I named my daughter after my absolute favorite flower. In the picture below I was teaching her that there are many different varieties of dahlias; so many colors, shapes, petal counts and sizes.
