Proflora 2025 brought together breeders, growers, logistics partners and floral professionals from around the world. For Gardens America, it was a valuable opportunity to meet with long-term partners, explore new varieties and spot the floral trends shaping the year ahead.
Celebrating Alexandra Farms
A highlight of the show was celebrating the 20th anniversary of Alexandra Farms. Known worldwide for its garden roses, the farm continues to lead the industry with quality and innovation.
- Shiraz Spray Rose – A pre-commercial variety with a distinctive petal shape, available in spring.
- Princess Alina Garden Rose – The first pure white garden rose of its size and kind, also available in spring.
Both showcase the continued innovation from Alexandra Farms, which now features more than 100 varieties and has inspired floral designers globally for two decades.

Noteworthy Breeders and Varieties
Gardens America visited several leading breeders, including Deliflor, Icon, Danziger, Guaqueta, Ball, and Konst, as well as supplier farms and logistics partners. Below are some of the standout finds from this year’s show.
Gypsophila
Billion Lights Gypsophila drew attention for its bright, cloud-like clusters and exceptional volume. This new variety stood out for both its density and luminosity, making it ideal for event designers and floral wholesalers looking for a modern take on a classic filler.
Chrysanthemums and Disbuds
Deliflor introduced several impressive disbuds and button varieties that offer strong potential for seasonal and event work:
- Yolk – A striking variety with impressive size and depth of color.
- Beluga White – A clean, modern white bloom that resembles a dahlia.
- Lemonhead – A sturdy, vibrant yellow.
- Lotso – A disbud with excellent structure and a versatile color.
- Lychee – A beautiful, soft tone that fits modern palettes.
- Dropshot – A red disbud with bold saturation.
- Superbowl – A standout for its unique form and “wow” factor.
From breeder Konst, Pompeii, a striking burgundy alstroemeria, stood out for its rich tone and seasonal versatility.
Novelty and Texture Trends
This year’s show highlighted a growing focus on novelty blooms and unique textures.
- Pink Poker Limonium – A bright, modern filler with broad appeal for events and retail.

- Snapstar – A stock and snapdragon hybrid with a distinctive form.
- Doubleshot – Another novelty flower gaining early interest.
- Tinted Lepidium – Ideal for custom seasonal designs, including fall, holiday and Valentine’s Day color options.
- Two-Tone Metallic Ruscus – A creative accent with strong potential for event work.
- TriGreen XL – A gorgeous new take on green trick.
Additional Standouts
Matilda, from breeder Guaqueta, remains an underused yet promising flower for designers. Sunflower sprays offered a fresh twist on a traditional favorite. Large bells and Queen Anne’s lace displayed impressive size and structure, while Statice stood out for its strong color and texture. Perfection showed exceptional quality and form. Ageratum, promoted by breeder Ball, featured vibrant purple tones. White Astrantia offered a clean filler option and alternative to poms, and the pale yellow marigold added a soft color choice perfect for spring and wedding designs.



Looking Ahead
As breeders continue to innovate, trends point toward enhanced sustainability, improved vase life and expanded color ranges. While Oriental lilies are expected to be less available in the coming year, varieties like double and rose lilies are growing in demand.
